Your Family, Your Story: A Guide to Digital Storytelling is designed to provide you with the tools that will take you step by step through the process of creating and documenting your personal project.

In June 2012 a teaching DVD will be available that will supplement the information in the book. By using the DVD and the book together you can train staff in your organization to capture stories of members to preserve their personal history and/or the historical events of your civic group.

Consider the following:

Schools: Intergenerational video project for student’s to interview grandparents and create a family history for a school project.

Churches: Capture elder’s life stories and their remembrance of the history of the church.

Civic Groups: Elks; Lions; Rotary; Veterans of Foreign War; Eastern Star; just to name a few.

Other Possibilities: Hospice; Caregiver Support Groups; Senior Housing; Community/Senior Centers; Veterans Administration Elder Facilities; Nursing Homes
